Hawk Hill Farm actively supports mounted search and rescue in Virginia. EVp Quixote, with Leah as his partner, are certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) to provide support during search and rescue operations. Leah, Belinda Harris; Karol Lurch and Cyndi Young-Preston are members of Commonwealth Search and Rescue (CSAR) and dedicate a great deal of time to training and conditioning for rapid response when called out.

We train together on a quarterly basis - finding ways to desensitize the horses to things they might encounter in the field.
